NiU is a modular sofa inspired by a box that opens and gives you a glimpse of what lies hidden inside. The walls lean back and to the side, giving the sofa a dynamic character that is interesting from eve ry angle. The details of NiU are thoroughly considered; upholstery, the use of materials and stitch details are all emphasized when developing this sofa. In collaboration with the Hancock Shaker Village and the Mt. Lebanon Shaker Museum, a week-long workshop was condu.
